Double Color Melamine Press Machine
Double Color Melamine Press Machine Featuring Automated Control and PLC System for Consistent Melamine Tableware Output
Product Overview
The Double Color Melamine Press Machine (also known as two-color melamine molding machine, bi-color hydraulic press, or dual-tone tableware forming machine) is an advanced hydraulic compression molding system designed to manufacture stunning two-tone melamine dinnerware. This specialized equipment seamlessly integrates two different colored melamine molding compounds (MMC) into a single product, creating visually striking tableware with contrasting interior/exterior colors or multi-colored patterns.
Unlike single-color machines, this double color press uses sophisticated mold technology and precision material dosing to produce high-value-added products such as two-tone bowls, dual-color plates, contrasting cups, and decorative serving trays. The machine is extensively utilized for premium tableware, toilet seat covers, bakelite switches, and mahjong tiles.

How Double Color Melamine Press Machines Work
The Two-Color Molding Process
Step 1: Material Preparation - Two different colored melamine molding compounds (MMC) are prepared—typically contrasting colors like white/black, red/white, or custom brand colors. Each color is preheated separately to 40-50°C for optimal flow characteristics.
Step 2: Precision Dosing - The machine's automatic weighing system doses precise quantities of each color powder. Unlike single-color production, double color requires exact material distribution to prevent color bleeding while ensuring complete mold filling.
Step 3: Sequential Mold Filling
First Color Injection: Primary color (often exterior) is loaded into the mold cavity
Second Color Injection: Secondary color (often interior or accent) is precisely positioned
Dual-color molds feature specialized runners and gates that control color placement
Step 4: Compression & Curing
Hydraulic pressing at 150-180°C under 200-350 tons pressure
Degassing cycles: Up to 99 air releases to eliminate bubbles between color layers
Curing time: Precisely controlled to ensure chemical bonding between colors without bleeding
Step 5: Automatic Ejection - Finished two-color product is automatically ejected, ready for edge grinding and polishing.
